Re-write

RE-write  is a series by Irit Hayon that explores the rewriting of memory, material, and narrative. Created through a mixed-media technique, the works bring together pastel chalk and fragments of vintage paper, materials that have already lived previous lives and enter here into a new chapter. The old and the new are interwoven, with each layer adding, erasing, repairing, or leaving a trace.

This is a process of writing, erasing, and rewriting. The color palette is built in layers, creating texture and depth. The series invites contemplation of accumulated time, fluid memory, and the possibility of rewriting what once seemed complete.
